Personal data protection policy - GDPR

Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG – 3 companies belonging to the SOCOTEC group – are committed to ensuring that the processing of personal data carried out for the benefit of its business activities is in accordance with European Regulation No. 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Dutch data protection legislation (GDPR Implementation Act).

Personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A person is “identifiable” if they can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more specific elements.

The Personal Data collected consists in particular of – but is not limited to – names and first names, postal address, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, work-related data and any other Personal Data that may prove relevant for the purposes described below. However, only Personal Data are collected that are strictly necessary for the processing in question.

 1 - Who collects personal data ?

The Controller is SOCOTEC Group, located at 5, place des Frères Montgolfier – Guyancourt – 78182 St-Quentin-en-Yvelines Cedex – France.

 2 - For whom is this policy intended ?

The purpose of this “Personal Data Protection Policy” is to inform all concerned natural persons about the manner in which the SOCOTEC Group collects and uses your personal data and about the means at your disposal to control this use.

This policy is intended for:

  • Job applicants who submit an unsolicited application or respond to a published advertisement
  • Job applicants with regard to the creation and use of the applicant space on the socotec.nl website
  • Those who want to subscribe to the newsletter
  • Those who wish to contact the SOCOTEC team via the special contact form
  • All users of the website (www.socotec.nl) who log in and surf said website

 3 - What data collection methods are used ?

Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group collect Personal Data online (including via e-mail), via paper sources and orally (during an interview or a telephone call). This policy applies regardless of the method of collection or processing.

The Personal Data that you agree to provide to us – regardless of the method of collection (online, via paper sources, or orally during an interview or telephone conversation) – are subject to the provisions of this policy.

 4 - Why is your data collected ?

Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group use your personal data to carry out their tasks and to run their businesses. Below you will find a list of the reasons why your Personal Data are collected and the corresponding legal bases.

 5 - To whom is your data sent ?

Depending on the purpose, your personal data may be sent to the relevant business unit, where it may be stored. IT data is stored remotely by hosting service provider OVH.

The data used to connect to the website and the messages sent via the “Contact” form are forwarded to our web agency, which manages our website services. It does not receive unambiguous data and does not have access to the content of these messages, so their content remains confidential.

The website may contain hyperlinks to other websites, which provide additional qualified information. Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group cannot be held liable for content it does not publish; the User acknowledges that this website and the services of third parties or partners are completely independent of each other. A reference to a third party site does not constitute a recommendation, and the Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group are in no way liable for the editorial content offered on the relevant sites.

Since all personal data are confidential, access to these data is limited to the employees of Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group for the performance of their work and to authorised third parties in accordance with applicable regulations.

 6 - Will your data be sent outside the European Union ?

No data will be sent outside the European Union.

 7 - What are your rights?

Under Articles 14 to 22 of Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, any natural person using the service may exercise the following rights:

  • Right to access: you can request a copy of the data that concerns you personally
  • Right to rectification: you can change incorrect data that concern you
  • Right to object: you can object to our processing of your data subject to the conditions of Article 21 of the GDPR
  • Right to erasure: you can ask us to erase the data concerning you subject to the conditions of Article 17 of the GDPR
  • Right to object to profiling
  • Right to restriction of the processing
  • We do not conduct profiling in the context of our activities

If you consent to the processing of your personal data, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Finally, if a personal data breach is detected that may pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms, you will be notified of the breach as soon as possible.

 8 - How can you exercise your rights ?

Proof of identity must be attached to the request.

Hanselman Group, Inpijn Blokpoel engineers and CAG Group will respond within one (1) month after receipt of the request. In certain cases, due to the complexity of the request or the number of requests, this period may be extended to two months.

 9 - What happens to your data in case of death ?

You can give instructions for the storage, erasure and transfer of your personal data after your death in accordance with Article 85 of Act 78-17 of 6 January 1978.

 10 - Does the website use cookies ?

Cookies are text files that are stored and used to record personal and non-personal information about your visit to the socotec.nl website.

We may use them or other forms of technology to collect or store Personal Data in order to improve the services provided to you.

When you first receive a cookie, you will be notified by a banner that appears at the bottom of the page and can decide whether to accept or reject it. If you continue to use the website with knowledge of the above information, you expressly accept that the socotec.nl website may use browsing cookies.

11 - Revision of the Personal Data Protection Policy 

This Personal Data Protection Policy is applicable from 3 January 2020 and is regularly updated in accordance with the needs of the company and legal requirements.
