For Ballast Nedam Construction and Development, that is responsible for building TOWER TEN, SOCOTEC carried out pre construction surveys and monitoring work such as:
- Measurement of the X-Y-Z coordinates of the nearby tramline and bicycle tunnel
- Slope measurement of the new sheet pile wall itself
- Height measurements of the surrounding buildings and infrastructure
- Noise measurements at the surrounding buildings
- Vibration measurements at the surrounding buildings
Project description
WTC Amsterdam is the largest office building in the Netherlands, with 115,000 square metres divided over the nine towers. A new tower – the tenth – will be built on the corner of Strawinskylaan and Beethovenstraat, creating an additional 32,000 square metres of office space. At the same time, D-tower, which is located next door in the old construction, will be renovated and connected directly to the new construction.
