Project information

Project name: Onyx Tower Eindhoven

Location: Eindhoven

Project description

Mid 2017, construction work started on the new Onyx residential tower. This 83m-high tower is part of the future Victoria park and is being built next to the former Philips Lighting office in the centre of Eindhoven. The design of the new construction includes a single-storey basement with a surface area of around 3000 m2. The new construction’s foundations will be in-situ-cast, drilled foundation piles with injection grouting. The basement was built within a construction put that was enclosed on three sides by a retaining wall (a sheet pile wall on two sides and a soilmix wall on one side).

To minimise the impact on nearby very large-scale water contamination, at the same time as the dewatering in the construction pit, counter dewatering will be carried out outside the construction pit.
