SOCOTEC Netherlands offers high-quality Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) services in the areas of geotechnical expertise, healthy buildings, risk management and claims. With more than 400 specialists, we support your projects from design to operation, guaranteeing safe and sustainable solutions for the construction and infrastructure sector.

We work closely with governments, and large and smaller construction companies, architects and insurers, and are ready to support you with technical and legal expertise throughout the life cycle of your projects.

Our 400+ experts all over the Netherlands provide testing, inspection, certification and compliance expertise in the construction and infrastructure sector. We are your unique, qualified partner from start to finish for construction or infrastructure-related projects. In the design and preconstruction phase, we can offer you design advice, geotechnical investigations, monitoring plans, structural surveys. During the construction phase we amongst other things carry out environmental monitoring and quality inspections. During that phase we also monitor and you can turn to use for matters relating to claims & expertise. We can offer you structural and geotechnical inspections, energy labelling and multi-year maintenance plans.

Our history in the Netherlands begins in 1975, and since 2022 we have operated as SOCOTEC through the acquisition of three leading companies. Geotechnology

Our engineers carry out work and offer advice in the area of geotechnology, environmental investigations and monitoring. We have our own geotechnical laboratory where we can determine the specific soil properties of soil samples. To carry out this work, we have probing units, drilling units and smaller equipment.

Risk Management & Claims

We prevent damage to buildings and infrastructure from occurring by means of risk analysis and monitoring. If damage occurs anyway, we are the ideal partner for claims management. If damage occurs and leads to a claim, we offer an extensive approach, from a technical analysis to determine the real causes of the project problems to quantifying the ensuing financial damages and handling the claim.

Building Performance

We ensure that your buildings are safe, healthy, compliant and sustainable. As a specialist and market leader, we test, inspect and certify your technical installations and your property. We assess whether your building meets the changing legislation and regulations and advise you on how to further improve the condition of your building and your technical installations. After a visit by SOCOTEC you will be sure that you meet all the statutory obligations.

In 2022, the SOCOTEC Group formed its Dutch platform by acquiring three companies, market leaders in their field, all working towards a safer and more sustainable built environment:

MOS Grondmechanica, founded in 1950, is a leading research and consulting firm in geotechnics, geohydrology, and geomonitoring.
Inpijn Blokpoel Ingenieurs, founded in 1975, provides state-of-the-art geotechnical engineering and consulting services in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
Hanselman Groep, founded in 1984, which provides risk analysis, risk management measures, structural surveys, monitoring, inspections, and damage assessment to governments, institutions, and companies in the construction & infrastructure, real estate, insurance, transport & logistics, and renewable energy sectors.
CAG Group, founded in 1997, provides experts in technical advice on air quality. Three years later, they developed their water safety practice after the Bovenkarspel legionella disaster.
Vermeer Group, founded in 2000, specializes in dimensioning, expertise, and surveying for construction and infrastructure projects.

Today, we are SOCOTEC Nederland. We work on the integrity, performance, safety, and sustainability of the built environment from pre-construction and the construction phase through to the operational phase by providing technical advisory services. We do this together with our experienced and reliable experts.
