Loss Adjusting

Loss Adjusting is a form of claim handling in which the facts surrounding a claim are investigated and objective advice is given by us to the parties involved about the settlement of the claim on the insurance concerned. 

This working method is applied by some technical insurers for cases up to a certain claim amount with the advantage of a faster turnaround time, clarity for the parties, objective external coverage assessment and cost savings in handling. 

Cases are handled by the most experienced claims adjusters with specific knowledge of the underlying policies. 

Powers and conditions are determined in advance with clients and form the basis of our assignments. 

By having your claim assessed by an expert from our organization, numerous aspects are examined and assessed in the context of any (insurance) agreement.

For example, we expertly and objectively assess the facts concerning the facts, repair method, repair costs, recourse possibilities and we assess the coverage under the current policy (recommendation). 

Our findings are reported on the basis of the agreed KPIs so that you can proceed directly to settlement of the claims. 

The result of our cooperation saves you demonstrable labor and litigation costs, expertise costs and controls your loss burden.  

We have been working this way successfully for several Construction Project and Liability insurers for years.

Our Way of Working

Prior to our work, we agree with you on the desired conditions of our services, kpi's, communication/reports and pricing (hourly rate). The agreements are recorded in a Cooperation Agreement / Service Level Agreement (SLA). 

Based on the (specific) assignment (question), we assign the assignment to the expert with the appropriate knowledge and experience for the case.

Our expert studies the question, collects and examines the documents underlying the case, and establishes contact with the party/parties/contacts involved.

The expert analyzes and reviews the information obtained and advises client on settlement under the applicable insurance contract (policy).

The reporting format agreed in advance with client provides factual and relevant information regarding:
- parties involved, 
- relationships between parties, 
- relevant contracts between parties, 
- the incident that led to the damage, 
- external investigations, statements, etc., 
- findings of the expert, 
- cause analysis, 
- mitigating measures,
- extent of damage, 
- repair methods
- restoration costs, 
- liability issues, 
- other insurance and
- recourse options,
- Policy coverage (recommendation)
